Once Human released on consoles
Starry Studio announced the release of its MMO shooter about meta-humans in a fantastical future world on all current consoles. At the same time, the developers answered the most logical questions regarding this release. Let's note right away that on the new platforms, just like on PC, the game Once Human is available for free, and only cosmetic items are sold for money. But this is not all the information — more details can be found in the official statement. Let's tell you what is known at the moment.
Console release of Once Human — what do you need to know about it?

The new version of the game is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S, with the PS client taking up 80 GB on the storage medium, whereas on Microsoft's devices you need to allocate a full 100 for it. Among the supported languages, the developers also listed Russian — thus, localization became common across all platforms. PC account linking for continuous progression and cross-play will also work, and the only exception in data transfer will be results achieved on test servers. As for account merging, gamers will have to choose only one of them — for example, the computer or mobile one. Also, Starry Studio states that people from different regions cannot participate in the same match — this is done intentionally to ensure equal ping for all users on the server.
At the same time, the developers updated the shooter to version 3.0.4. The main part of the update was the Global Heat event, during which players are given gifts for logging into their account, including skins for characters and vehicles. In addition, the first-person view has been changed and a water interaction mechanic has been added — from now on, meta-humans are capable not only of running on land but also of swimming in bodies of water. The set of improvements is topped off by various optimizations — from gameplay solutions to tweaks to the virtual economy.
