New shipyards and Wind Rose in World of Sea Battle
A big storm is brewing in the Russian MMO game about sailing ships of the 16th-18th centuries. The Thera Interactive studio has finally settled on the release date for update B21 — it will be uploaded to the servers as early as October 15. So, on the eve of the release, the developers are hurrying to share the details of the World Of Sea Battle update. This time, the story touched on the updated shipyard system, where the ships available for construction will be divided into three factions, as well as on the navigation, which places greater emphasis on the interaction of ships with the wind. This will make the controls somewhat more complicated, but it will add realism.
What to expect from World of Sea Battle version B21?

From the middle of the month, the progression system will undergo major changes: new models for construction will appear, class trees will be reworked, and three main sections will be introduced: "Antilia", "Espanol", "Kai and Severia". Each faction will offer its own development paths from the first to the third rank, and in addition, they will gain key features, such as the emphasis on hull strength for "Espanol" and speed and defense for "Kai and Severia". At the same time, "Antilia" will remain a universal option without pronounced traits. Among the new blueprints, it is worth noting the fifth-rank "Diana", the sixth-rank "Fair American", and the Russian third-rank "St. George the Victorious".
"Wind Rose" is a function required for controlling frigates and clippers, which change their course and speed depending on air currents and the complexity of the rigging. Something similar was present in the game's previous updates, but the developers intend to introduce a unique solution designed for ships with fore-and-aft sails, in which the running and broad reaches (directions for maximum ship acceleration) will be shifted relative to the axis of movement. With such a realistic approach, gamers will be able to work with the wind more subtly and demonstrate their skill in battle.
