The new Battlefield will bring the series back to the present day

Recently, information about the upcoming shooter from Electronic Arts has started to appear. Respawn Entertainment, known for Apex Legends, Titanfall and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, is developing it. And although there is very little official information about the action game (except for the concept art attached to the news), the head of development Vince Zampella shared important information with the public, and journalist Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming portal added something from himself.

After a long flirtation with different historical periods, including two world wars, the series returns to the modern setting, more precisely in 2027-2030. The campaign of the game, which will be released simply under the serial number "six", will be devoted to the battles between NATO soldiers and mercenaries of a certain PMC in different hot spots of the planet. If you choose the "battle royal" mode, the map for it will serve as a region in the south of the United States. As is customary in the series, promises impressive destructibility of objects, which, given the use of different types of military equipment, will open a wide tactical variation.

In multiplayer will be available 45 samples of weapons, and a total of 64 people can take part in the match - experiments with a large number of characters on the map are a thing of the past. There are no classes of fighters (specialists), which were in Battlefield 2042. In other words, the series is returning to its roots. According to Zampella, fans will be able to try the novelty in business only in 2025.
