No Man's Sky now with Pokémon

Hello Games studio has released a major update for its multiplayer «endless» space simulator. With the launch of Xeno Arena, gamers now have the opportunity to find, tame, and modify creatures resembling Pokémon, and then arrange their battles on a special arena. The game's procedurally generated universe is already almost endless — a lifetime wouldn't be enough to visit all worlds, let alone explore them or build bases. Nevertheless, the developers continue to release content aimed at diversifying the experience of captains making their way to the center of the galaxy. The new entertainment on this journey has become miniature monsters that can be found using the standard analysis visor — the same one heroes use to search for resources and artifacts. Each such monster adds 30 species to the virtual menagerie and can change properties through genetic modifications, meaning Pokémon can be improved to one's taste.

The most interesting part is that trained creatures can be entered into battle by reaching the «Space Anomaly» station, where an arena for such fights has been set up. This is another form of multiplayer in the game — alongside expeditions and cooperative planet exploration. The tournament is overseen by a character named Oceanus, who also distributes rewards to competition winners.
