Today is the release of Nightingale
The novelty offers single gamers and teams of heroes to travel between bizarrely designed worlds, explore locations, fight monsters and perform various tasks. The goal of the wanderers is to reach the city of Nightingale, where the remnants of humanity have found refuge. On the occasion of the game's release, its authors released a "first day patch" with interface improvements, AI upgrade, adding support for gamepads and Steam Deck handheld console.
What's interesting about Nightingale?
Employees of Inflexion Games studio came up with not one world, but several, so that users could move between them with the help of portals. This is the basis of the adventure. To take part in it, it is best to gather a group of friends, because the game is primarily designed for cooperative play. Supporting each other in a moment of danger, team members will visit the forests of fairies, deserts and swamps, meeting there bizarre creatures. Along the way, you can collect different materials and make tools from them, making it easier to survive in an unfriendly environment. Nothing prevents you from giving your equipment magical properties or, for example, to emphasize the damage to enemies. According to the developers, there is an element of procedural generation in the biomes.
Shortly before the release in early access, the game was slightly improved. In particular, they added hotkeys to the interface and redrew the character status bar. And if you idle for a while, the HUD will disappear altogether to let you admire the view or make a colorful screenshot. As for gamepad support, it is not fully implemented on the day of release - this part in Inflexion Games will still be finalized based on user feedback. The situation with Steam Deck is similar: the game launches on the console, but the authors are not ready to guarantee perfect gameplay. All this will be put in order by the next patches.
