Bad weather has broken out in ARC Raiders

Embark Studios has released the Shrouded Sky update for its sci-fi extraction shooter. The main feature of the patch for ARC Raiders is hurricanes that can suddenly engulf any area and drastically reduce characters' field of view. But the update also includes other interesting nuances - for example, new mechanical enemies, a project aimed at harnessing the forces of nature, and a free 'Surgeon' raider set. Let's take a closer look at what fans of the game will be doing at the end of winter.

Since the survivors in Speranza never thought about creating weather tracking services, the hurricane in the Rust Belt came unexpectedly. And it turned out to be a much more terrible scourge than the sandstorms presented earlier. Any raider caught in the power of the elements experiences several problems at once. First, the wind and small particles flying in it hit the force shield, causing it to spark and discharge faster. Second, visibility drops sharply - only flashes from damaged shields will help find the enemy in this whirlwind. Finally, wind gusts make it difficult to move quickly and use thrown weapons. However, raiders will definitely find something valuable inside the storm.

To cope with the new threat, Speranza's scientists are launching a new project - a weather monitoring system. It will probably take the survivors a lot of time and resources to assemble it. At the same time, hauling loot from the surface has become even more difficult due to the replenishment of the army of evil robots - now among them you can find a flying 'Firefly' armed with a flamethrower and a self-guided 'Comet' with an internal charge. However, in the raid it will be possible to stand out thanks to the 'Surgeon' cosmetic set - to get it, you will need to complete a series of tasks. But the ability to customize facial hair has become available to everyone immediately: now you can shout 'Don't shoot!' while sporting a magnificent Tolstoyan beard.
