"Soft" update of Rust: the game will have cool jungles
Facepunch studio has prepared a lot of interesting things for its MMO game Rust about survival in the open world. In particular, the assortment of destructible items for base design was replenished, some functions in Softcore mode, properties of beehives and other objects were changed. At the same time, the Abyss set was updated and the upcoming content was presented, where tropical forests with ferocious predators living in them will appear.
How is Rust changing in April 2025?

The innovations mainly concern the simplified game mode, or Softcore. If someone attacks your base and destroys your items, they will lose only 50% of their contents and can be repaired later. The same way reviving a character after his death works: you can come back to life with only half of the items in your inventory. But it's obviously better than nothing. Base maintenance became more convenient, but more expensive - this is done in order not to clutter the place of heroes' habitat with unused doors and other parts of the interior. But the damage in battles was cut - the enemy will not shoot your ward in a couple of seconds.
Special walls with coils of barbed wire and double-leaf gates can now be used to protect your possessions. Swarms of bees no longer deal damage in multiples of their number, i.e. if you throw ten bee grenades at once at enemies, they will not receive tenfold damage, but much less. On the other hand, the hives have been given a bit more realism: when placing them in cold areas, don't forget to bring heaters.
The developers also freshened up the Abyss set by adding deep-sea damage items. If you already have a collection, you can simply add an original knife with a rusty edge to it. What's more interesting, the Facepunch team reported on the success of paid premium servers (to enter them for the sake of a quiet game without cheaters, we remind you, it is necessary to pay 15 dollars). Finally, the final stage has reached the work on the Jungle add-on, which will not only add to the virtual world jungle, but also populate them with dangerous animals, including crocodiles, tigers and snakes.
