Battlefield 6 multiplayer is being made free

Things are not going smoothly for the new online shooter Battlefield 6 from Electronic Arts. Despite solid sales, as expected from another release of the famous series, the game has gathered mixed reviews. Users remained dissatisfied with the technical side of the shooter and the insufficient development of the «battle royale» REDSEC, which was released as a free add-on. The developers are now trying to fix the situation, so they are offering various promotions like the recently announced free access — it will last until December 2.

The main game on Steam is still available for money (although with a 15% discount), while the promotion only applies to the multiplayer. To get access to it for free, you need to use the REDSEC client — in it until the second day of next month everyone will have access to three maps and four modes of the main multiplayer. As the project authors note, in case of further purchase of the shooter, progress from the trial version will be transferred to the full version, and gamers will also receive gifts. But let's discuss what is included in the promotional package right now. The list of locations includes Eastwood, where, in fact, the action of the «battle royale» takes place, as well as Blackwell Fields and Siege of Cairo.

Among the free modes, first of all, it is worth noting Initiation Breakthrough, where two teams with a total of 48 players fight. Both squads are supplemented with bots controlled by artificial intelligence. One side during the match must attack, while the other defends its headquarters. Such battles are well suited for beginners, but those who are already skilled in virtual battles can pay attention to «Sabotage» and «Team Deathmatch». Finally, you can arrange a battle for control points. Notably, along with this event, another one was launched — the distribution of the «Deadly Force» weapon set for logging into REDSEC until the end of November.
