A multiplayer action film based on Starship Troopers is on the way

Offworld Industries, which became famous thanks to the MMO shooter Squad, introduced a new project - Starship Troopers: Extermination. It will be the team action, where the players will go to destroy huge alien bugs. Naturally, the developers followed the style of the Paul Verhoeven's movie from 1997, so the fans of the classics will enjoy the news.

In a way, it echoes the Squad concept: here, too, you'll be able to assemble squads of four to fight against the arachnids. And each such group can have its own tasks - and the success of the party will affect the interaction of different teams with each other. Deep Space Vanguard soldiers are also divided into three classes: assault, support, and defense. At the battlefield, they will be able to fortify their defenses by building shelters and installing automated combat systems with their accumulated resources.

Heroes will be opposed by bugs of five species. Fight them not only on individual locations, but also on the global map, displaying the overall dynamics of war. In addition to the direct destruction of enemies match offer additional tasks - like sweeping hives or capture factories for resources. The exact release date of the action movie is still unknown, but the developers say that the release will take place in 2023.
