MindsEye — now with multiplayer

Studio Build A Rocket Boy has released one of the worst games of the decade: if initially the developers planned to outdo the GTA series, now they have to do anything just to get someone to take interest in their "masterpiece". A new patch has brought a full-fledged multiplayer mode Grenade Football to the third-person action game MindsEye, timed to coincide with the World Cup in the USA. Here, the characters are divided into teams and try to score a goal in the opponent's goal, but at the same time, all the athletes have grenade launchers in their hands.

What makes the Grenade Football mode interesting in MindsEye?

This is already the eighth update of the game, which has shown extremely low results since its release in 2025. The patch is available for both PC and consoles. It is based on social features: now the friends list for multiplayer and completing missions in co-op is tied to the BARB account and loads with every client launch. You can gather a squad of 2-5 people in a few clicks to complete a mission, share your creations (for example, a racing track you created) or assemble a team for a virtual football match. A notification system also works, allowing you to quickly find out what your friends are doing at the moment — whether they are available for a shared session or already busy with some activity.

Football battles are organized in a separate location in the form of a stadium, where two teams of five participants can compete. There is traditionally one ball on the field, and handheld grenade launchers allow you to grab it and throw it into the opponents' goal. To make it easier for people to distinguish their teammates from enemies, the characters are dressed in jumpsuits of two colors — red and blue. There are no outs here: the ball does not go out of bounds, but simply ricochets off the sideline, like a ball in billiards, which can be used to score points. In addition to this mode, the developers have fixed some bugs and made improvements to the single-player game. But whether this will help MindsEye regain the public's trust remains unknown.
