Marvel Rivals gameplay trailers and alpha test

Marvel Rivals, an online action game about comic book heroes, has started closed alpha testing, and a small group of selected gamers have been invited to take part in it. And for other people, waiting for the release, was not so offensive, the developers from NetEase have revealed some details of their project, at the same time allowing to publish records of gameplay for different characters - the Internet has already appeared clips with Iron Man and Spider-Man. Let's tell you what we know so far.

The peculiarity of the alpha test was that the users selected for it did not sign NDA, that is, they were given the opportunity to publish any materials about the game. Thanks to this, there have already appeared a lot of videos with the participation of famous heroes of the Marvel universe. The developers also said that they made the destructible environment in their project on purpose, otherwise characters like Groot or Hulk would look unconvincing - the green giant just has to demolish obstacles on his way. Even on the clips it became clear how vertical gameplay will be: the same Spider-Man uses a spider web to move around the location, and Tony Stark flies in his armor in any direction, firing at enemies from above.

We remind you that NetEase's multiplayer action game is similar to Overwatch in rules and style: two teams of six participants fight in matches, and the battle is fought for control over special points or for one of the squads to achieve the goals of the mode. The action takes place in the year 2099. It is also known that for Rivals are relevant events associated with the multiverse "Marvel", that is, in the future there will be alternative forms of heroes. The results of the alpha test will be summarized on May 21, while the release date of the game has not yet been set.
