Krafton changes the Rondo map in PUBG: Battlegrounds
Developers of the popular "battle royale" PUBG: Battlegrounds announced the start of a new experiment within Arcade Labs. In response to user requests, they are testing rule changes for battles on one of the game's largest maps — Rondo. Now, the blue zone's position in the updated matches will be known to all participants in advance, and it will move faster, forcing gamers to act more actively. Let's find out what else the authors of the online action game have prepared for fans of the genre.
New blue zone rules for Rondo in PUBG: Battlegrounds

To participate in the experimental match, you need to open the game menu, select the "Arcade" mode there, and then the temporarily added improved version of the map. It will remain available until July 15 on PC and until the 23rd on consoles. What did the developers change in it? Even in the lobby, while waiting before the start of the battle, everyone will be able to see where the zone, beyond which all living things die, will appear. This means there will be no more surprises — you can immediately decide whether to jump from the plane to the place that will remain safe until the very end, or leave yourself room for maneuver and land where there are fewer people. In addition, the circle shrinks faster here, which adds extra tension to firefights.
Of course, the first minutes of the match are usually spent not only on choosing an advantageous position but also on finding weapons and supplies. Therefore, Krafton studio employees changed the loot spawn algorithms — they increased the spawn rate of vehicles and useful combat items by 25%. The view in the test mode remains third-person only, and exclusively four-player teams participate in the battles. At the same time, considering the status of this modification, no one will receive experience points, rewards, or any progress in the overall statistics for winning.
