A giant alligator is on the hunt in Hunt: Showdown

In the multiplayer action game Hunt: Showdown the Tide of Shadows event has been launched - the most complex in the history of the game, as described by the developers from Crytek studio. It adds a new monster to the map in the form of a huge female alligator, as well as the "Storm" mode, altars and three oaths, which make it easier to earn special points. In addition, there are unique equipment items waiting for users.

Hurricanes have returned to the state of Louisiana in the late 19th century, where the events of the game take place. The winds have brought with them the once lost steamer Dolphin and a creepy monster called the Scourge - now a monster that inhabits the swamps and can be banished for a reward, just like any other boss. So a new threat has been added to the zombies and opposing squads, bringing death to anyone who wants to cross the swamps. Three units will help in the fight for survival - earth, primary and smuggling - oath to which will allow to acquire useful skills in the fight. At the same time, heroes will be able to use oathmarks, awarded for event points, as well as receive enhancements for praying at the ship's altars. If you explode such an altar, the hunters nearby will bleed.

Storm Mode changes tactics and throws your pursuers off your trail. For a few minutes, a shroud of rain hides you from your opponents and prevents them from identifying where the shots are coming from. On the one hand, it gives you some protection. On the other hand, it prevents you from burning the barrels with combustible mixture, zombies and corpses of hunters, and at the same time makes it very probable to meet the Grim Reaper. Noteworthy addition to the arsenal, which got three-barrelled shotgun, a modification of the revolver LeMat Mark II and Winfield Model 93 with an external trigger. Many unique weapons can be found in the combat pass sets. The event runs through August 23, 2023.
