Guild Wars will receive an update for the first time in 20 years

The famous MMORPG, relaunched in 2025 with the subtitle Reforged, has gained a second wind. However, the game hasn't received any major expansions in a long time. ArenaNet employees decided to fix this and prepared the Afterlife update, whose release should take place very soon. It will bring fans of the fairy-tale universe brand-new adventures, a dynamic dungeon, skill building based on any professions, as well as enemies, rewards, and a cooperative mode for a group of friends. The DLC release is scheduled for January 13, 2027. The public was promised several innovations at once. The developers offer a storyline on an island in the Misty Lands, however, to get to this map, you'll have to leave all your progress behind. Here, heroes will start from scratch — without unlocked skills and earned items. At the same time, newcomers have no business on this location either, since the challenges are promised to be of almost maximum difficulty. That's why the brave are advised to enlist the help of friends or create a squad of AI companions. At the center of the adventure will be a dungeon with constantly changing conditions, so characters can be equipped with abilities, assembling whatever set of professions you find useful.

Along the way, the team will encounter jungles, lakes, and ruins inhabited by monsters. Among the enemies will appear both Nightmares and Ancient Golems. And for each victory, heroes receive rewards. Moreover, the first one — in the form of the Order's ritual outfit — is given already for pre-ordering the expansion. It will be available on all platforms, including mobile (iOS and Android), but will cost about 2200 rubles.
