Guild Wars - 20 years: celebrating with the developers
This month, one of the world's most popular MMORPGs turns three decades old. On this occasion, the developers of the second part of Guild Wars are organizing an Anniversary Celebration festival in retro style - with weapons made of rough pixels and chiptune in the background. Until April 29, various commemorative items will be available in the game with a 20% discount. Also from the original project to the sequel will jump some rewards, not to mention prizes to all gamers for participating in activities.
What to do in the second Guild Wars while the first one celebrates its anniversary?

If you're not too keen on visiting virtual stores, but still want to get memorabilia, go on completing quests and collecting rewards. The project now has a huge number of upgrades of weapon skins - from individual items to entire collections like Destroyer or Tengu. Also look out for retro-style weapons, including a shield, axe, bow and trident, assembled from colorful pixels. In addition, the game has re-released exclusive items from past updates, weapon upgrades have gotten an extra level, and a workshop has opened at the Embark Beach location where you can check out all the options and fix your arsenal to your liking.
The most important thing in April is a set of trials for all the inhabitants of the servers. To take part in them, you need to go to Rata Sum by invitation, which should arrive in the mail. Activity rewards are epic, including eight decorations for your guild hall. Fans of risky cooking can join the Ooze Kitchen Endeavors event to bake a dessert capable of destroying its creator. Finally, there are story missions that begin with a story about rescuing Princess Mia, where you'll have to fight off monsters with a simple wooden stick. The festival fun will last until May 6.
