God of War is out on PC

On January 14, another Sony exclusive became less - God of War 2018 was released on PC. This is not the first release of this plan: previously the range of PC entertainment added Red Dead Redemption 2, Death Stranding, Horizon: Zero Dawn, the works of Quantic Dream studio and other games that were initially published exclusively for consoles. What is known about the premiere so far?

The new God of War is a relaunch and rethinking of the action series about the ancient hero Kratos, who fights against the gods and monsters. This time fate has thrown him into the world of mythical Scandinavia, where he not only tries to survive himself, but also to get his son Atreus into his head. The game is distinguished by bright design and original artistic solutions - for example, all the action in it is presented in one plan. The battles are accompanied by the epic music of Bear McCreery. Especially for the PC release the developers improved the graphics, raising the resolution to 4K at unlimited frames per second. Also owners of NVIDIA graphics cards can use the DLSS algorithms, allowing to optimize the picture by means of artificial intelligence.

After its release on PC, God of War became the second most popular former Sony exclusive on Steam, immediately gaining over 28.5 thousand people online. Only Horizon: Zero Dawn is ahead of this release with 56 557 users at launch, and the third place is taken by the zombie action Days Gone - behind it a record of 27 450 players online. It's also worth noting that just half an hour after the computer premiere, God of War was hacked - as it turned out, there was only one level of DRM protection. Now the fantasy actioner has a price almost console - on Steam for it asks 3,149 rubles.
