Escape from Tarkov is finally releasing

For eight years, the realistic shooter Escape from Tarkov by the Russian studio Battlestate Games remained in beta status. During this time, the game managed to gather a whole army of fans and secure a place among the best online shooters of modern times. It was streamed by all the stars of modern streaming, and the tactical features of the project were discussed by real military personnel from different countries. Finally, the developers announced that they are ready to release the game — this will happen on November 15, 2025. To mark such an important announcement, a teaser was even released.

What's happening with Escape from Tarkov now?

Recently, there has been a lot of excitement around EFT. Back in mid-summer, the developers announced their intention to attend all significant gaming exhibitions by the end of the year. And just the other day, a patch was released, updating the game to version 0.16.9.0. It synchronized Arena and PvE Zone (meaning progression in the former affects the latter). The trader Ref with his quests and rewards also became available, it became possible to transfer items between modes, a battle pass was launched, the artificial intelligence was improved, and issues with sound and balance were fixed. The flea market, by the way, is now available to everyone from level 35 — you can list no more than one item marked as "Found in raid."

On November 15, EFT will be upgraded to version 1.0, and the beta test, which lasted a full eight years, will come to an end. This can be understood not only from the published video titled Prepare for Escape but also from the blog of Battlestate Games' CEO Nikita Buyanov, who confirmed the fall release. Although the shooter is currently only available on the official website, after the full release, according to the developers' plans, it will also appear on Steam.
