Escape from Tarkov: Arena has been revealed live

Battlestate Games brought its developments to the Tokyo Game Show, where a 9-minute gameplay demo of "Arena" was shown. It's a spinoff of the company's main shooter, it's smaller in scale, but the battles here are more intense, and their rules are made with an eye on classic multiplayer action movies. At the release the novelty will be paid, for example, Russian users will cost 1300 rubles, but owners of the EFT version of Edge of Darkness will get it for free.

Judging by the footage shown at the event, the game will use the basic mechanics of "Tarkov" - from the behavior of weapons during firing to the inventory. In it specially for the match can be placed armor vest, helmet, first aid kit, axe for hand-to-hand combat, several types of grenades, as well as an unloader with all the necessary supplies. In other words, the equipment here is the same as in the main shooter. But the locations are much smaller, so the firefights don't last long. The video shows Teamfight mode, where two teams of five participants fight for seven rounds until the winner is determined.

Also planned for Arena are Shootout battles, where squads gain points by alternating between trios, duos, and solos, and Overrun PvE missions, where five heroes deflect waves of enemies under the control of artificial intelligence. Last Hero is a variant of deathmatch - every man for himself, and the fight lasts until the last survivor. Standard duels are also planned. It is known about seven locations, which will be included in the release version, although it is possible that in the future will be added and other sites. Finally, the staff of Battlestate studio reports on the preparation of ratings and ranks, which will balance the forces of the parties.
