Welcome to ARENA, folks: an announcement from the authors of Escape from Tarkov
The developers of the hardcore multiplayer shooter Escape from Tarkov recently announced a new game. It represents a kind of spin-off: the action takes place in the EST universe, and the equipment of fighters is the same, but locations and rules are different. There is not much information about this release, but let's discuss what we have.
What we know about Escape from Tarkov ARENA
The only information about the game at the moment contains only the trailer. Judging by it, ARENA uses the same engine as Escape from Tarkov, and there are also familiar characters, equipment and basic mechanics - such as healing on the battlefield and interaction with weapons. The idea is that somewhere in the world of Tarkov, mysterious characters known as Arena Keepers have organized gladiatorial competitions that take place on a "team against team" basis. The game will have several locations, including those shown in the trailer, and the battles will be organized both in PvP and PvE, that is allowed to fight against a squad of bots.
The main purpose of the battle - to receive a prize for victory: it is possible to earn virtual currency, to unlock the gun or an item of equipment. Also for the players to provide ratings. According to official data, Escape from Tarkov ARENA closed testing will begin in autumn 2022 and the shooter will be released on PC. It will be paid for everyone, except the owners of the EST version of Edge of Darkness - they will receive the novelty as a gift.
