A two-week event kicks off in Star Trek Online

Once again, there is unrest in the world of the MMORPG based on Star Trek. Having barely returned from the expanses beyond the galaxy, the beings known as the Ancients have faced a threat and the abduction of their kin, and are therefore forced to turn to heroes for help. As it happens, the cosmic tragedy will play out against the backdrop of Halloween, which will set the tone of the game for the remaining two weeks of October. The program includes two patrols at once, an operation, and themed rewards for captains ready to challenge the uninvited guests of the inhabited systems.

The two patrols are designed for solo players, who must head to Pyris Fortress to investigate the troubles that have befallen the Ancients. Steady nerves will be required — the developers promise an adventure with a touch of horror movies. The activity will be made available every 20 hours, and progress will be displayed on a special bar leading to the rewards. Similarly, points are awarded for completing "Fall of the Ancients" — for success you can get the universal module "Fear" and the summonable companion "Kohl Artist". The new items come with an enemy-repelling property: the "Immobilize" and "Confusion" effects are applied to opponents.

On the other hand, a group activity is also planned — the operation "Cat's Tale". A team of space explorers must cross a location full of ghosts and repel all their attacks. Completing it also grants bonuses, including the "Kohl Artist" appearance customization. Also, until the end of October, completing missions can earn you three themed packs (each can, if desired, be easily exchanged for a specialization point or a technical upgrade), 25,000 dilithium ore, and emotes for characters. Cryptic Studios traditionally offers to purchase all the rewards at once for Zen — just in case completing the tasks seems too tedious to anyone.
