Welcome to the frontier: change in the world of Rust
Facepunch has unveiled a world update for its multiplayer survival simulator. In it the developers touched upon landscapes, objects and things that change the appearance of characters. The Wild West-style equipment and radioactive water, which sends greetings to Fallout series, deserve a special mention. We tell you in details what has changed in the game and in what it became better.
Rust World Update 2.0 - what did they add?
In the MMO-game returned location Radtown, reminiscent of the design of the city from "Fallout". There are several abandoned buildings and rusting under the open sky equipment. If you go further into the wilderness, gamers will find that such an important object of the environment as cliffs have been remade. They are now of two types: high coastal and sloping mountain. Complemented the landscape and rocks of bizarre shapes - it seems as if the forces of nature really worked here. This is not counting canyons, lakes, oases, rivers - the game now has many natural areas where it is convenient to build a camp.
To complete the atmosphere of survival in the wilderness, designers have prepared a set of thematic equipment. First of all, the revolver firing bullets of 5.56 mm caliber is worthy of attention. It can be unlocked on the workbench of the second level, and it hits accurately and painfully. Secondly, the Frontiersman set has appeared - you can see the items included in it on the picture attached to this news. Nothing prevents you from having a Wild West style adventure.
But that's not all. From now on, the places where ships are sunk are marked with buoys visible on the surface of the water. In general, dive and you will find it. And to cope with the task will help "torpedo" DPV, giving the hero acceleration while diving. However, not all liquids promise extraction, because there is radioactive water. The largest amount of it is located in the vicinity of Radtown. It doesn't offer any special advantages, but if you collect it, you can use it as a weapon - just splash it on your enemies to give them a dose of radiation.
