Deadlock Has Suddenly Received a Major Update
Valve's new MOBA has been in beta testing for several years now. Nevertheless, the project already has an audience, and it regularly receives major updates, the latest of which was released under the name “The City Never Sleeps”. In it, gamers get six new characters at once, as well as battles on a reworked map without the old creeps, a refined interface, an improved shop, and technical fixes. Let's take a closer look at these changes.
What Did the “The City Never Sleeps” Update Bring to Deadlock?

The map where battles take place has been reworked in the update. The developers designated three lanes where match participants clash — the “Green”, “Yellow”, and “Blue” ones. The first goes around the central location, running through Greenwich, the University, Central Park, and the Brick House District. The “Yellow” lane skirts the city from the opposite side and includes the Docks and the Exchange. Finally, the central “Blue” lane offers battles with a view of the lights of Broadway and Times Square. Along the way, heroes will run into new neutral enemies — such as animated barrels, “Overdue Debts” (armed books), marionettes, mushrooms with eyes, and street ghouls. In other words, the set of creeps has been completely updated.
As for the fighters, their ranks have been expanded with Nurse Harrow, Granny, the Rat King, Solomon, Deadman Danny, and Violet — each with their own tactical talents. Danny, for one, can fly and scatter explosives, while the Nurse, quite logically, can heal teammates and scare off enemies. Among the interface changes, the indicators above characters deserve a separate mention: they now show the nicknames of allies and enemies, a health bar, visibility status, and markers for critical condition and stamina consumption. More details about the patch can be found on the project's official website.
