The new extraction shooter from Bungie studio, which was predicted to share the fate of the failed Concord, recently got an exact release date and another trailer. In addition, the developers of Marathon have opened pre-orders — and their number is already setting a positive tone. The not-yet-released game very quickly took 12th place in sales worldwide, sharing the podium with such hits as Counter-Strike 2, ARC Raiders, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Marvel Rivals. Contrary to the pessimistic forecasts of some gamers, this doesn't look like a failure at all.

The developers have finalized the exact release date — the game will go on sale on March 5th, simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. The new trailer also features the voice of an agent from one of six factions. These fictional organizations assign tasks to the heroes to explore the map, collect data, and extract valuable items from the planet. Between missions, reading the Codex, which contains all the basic information about the future universe, will help you better understand the setting and backstory. Regardless of which edition of the new game you decide to pre-order, you will receive a set of backgrounds and emblems, as well as exotic guns from the Zero Step collection as a gift.
