Release date and first DLC for Soulmask

The multiplayer survival simulator Soulmask from studio CampFire is currently available in Steam Early Access and has mostly positive reviews from gamers. But the developers decided to bring their project to a full release — it will take place on April 10 of this year. Additionally, the DLC Shifting Sands has been announced, dedicated to Ancient Egyptian mythology and reminiscent of the setting of Roland Emmerich's «Stargate». The update includes not only decorations but also lands to explore, vehicles, and weapons.

What does the Shifting Sands DLC offer in Soulmask?

As the name suggests, the DLC's map abounds with sands and desert landscapes. But there is also a river with muddy banks, ruins of ancient structures, and underground labyrinths where ancient spirits guard treasures. According to the developers, with the release of version 1.0, everyone will be able to start their adventures right in the Egyptian part of the world, without even visiting other types of terrain. After all, «Shifting Sands» already has everything you need — from picturesque locations for building a base to deposits of various resources. And the most interesting part is the ability to construct an airship and travel through the air, constantly changing the view and reaching points of interest.

You'll be able to create even an entire city in the clouds to live there with a group of friends — if only there are enough resources for such construction. On the aerial base, you can place not only residential buildings but also workshops for crafting, weapons, and shelters in case another group attacks you. Additionally, the final version of the game will include an improved interface, a full tutorial mission for beginners, tribe management settings, a blueprint usage mechanic (airships can be created with one click), and a Workshop exchange system.
