It could be worse: Patch 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077

The long-awaited patch 1.5 for the Cyberpunk 2077 action role-playing game happened and also showed how the game looks like on current consoles. Those who were expecting a major change in the world and gameplay are likely to be disappointed. Knight City has not become as lively as the cities in the GTA series, the mechanics of police chases is still absent, as well as a full-fledged subway system. But the patch contains a huge number of small improvements and additions. In particular, now Vee can take a shower, make coffee and sleep, getting positive effects from these actions. Also, the player is allowed to rent and decorate apartments - but it's not about rearranging the furniture, and just repainting the walls. Changing the appearance (hair, makeup) allows the menu mirror in the bathroom.

Characters under the control of the AI were added tactical skills, and some inhabitants were taught to react to the aggression of the hero - they either run or shoot back. In the same way, the threat affects the behavior of cars in street traffic. By the way, the changes touched the driving physics, and the parameters of some cars (for example, "Avenger" and "Outlaw") were improved. Also, the game got a lot of new items and minor options like V's correspondence with those who make up the hero's romantic interest. A nice bonus is the performance check mode available in the menu. Patch 1.5 is already available for download.

The unsuccessful launch of the game on consoles the year before last taught the developers a lot. Therefore, they approached the preparation of the new version more responsibly and immediately showed how it looks on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Current consoles will be able to run Cyberpunk 2077 in two modes: with maximum resolution and up to 60 frames per second or with ray tracing in real time. That said, the Xbox Series S, as the youngest console in the series, only supports one format - 1440p and 30 fps.
