Best FromSoftware Game: Critics Praise Elden Ring
The RPG action game Elden Ring has already got unprecedentedly high scores from the press, getting 97 points out of 100 on Metacritic's review aggregator. No other studio release has ever achieved such high scores, including Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and the Dark Souls series.
What do they say about Elden Ring experts
The largest thematic portals such as IGN, Game Informer, GamesRadar, The Gamer, Destructoid, The Guardian, as well as Russian sites StopGame.ru and Gamemag gave the highest possible score to the game. Notably, Game Informer has stated that Elden Ring is not merely the best game of the year, but one of the best in the history of the industry. He is echoed by The Guardian journalist and adds: "this work gives you confidence that whatever monsters lurk in a ruined world, if you persevere, they can still be defeated." However, the authors of PC Gamer, who gave it a score of 9 out of 10, point out the technical flaws of the novelty.
Elden Ring is the biggest project of FromSoftware studio and its head Hidetaka Miyazaki, who even brought in the famous writer George Martin, author of Game of Thrones, to work on it. This one differs from the previous games of Miyazaki's team by its large open world, abundance of secrets and hidden dungeons, the ability to move and fight on horseback, as well as to climb some cliffs with the help of whirlwinds. The official release date for the RPG is February 25, but it is already available for pre-load on all platforms, including PC.
