The new Counter-Strike is out and the old one is gone

Suddenly, without any prior notice, Valve closed CS: GO servers and announced the release of Counter-Strike 2. The novelty is now available for free on the same platforms, and the fans of the shooter have all the collections, items from which now look even more beautiful thanks to the Source 2 engine. Only the rating will have to be earned from scratch - by playing in "Casual" and "Deathmatch" modes on the maps familiar from childhood.

The developers themselves call this game the biggest technical leap in the series and a free improvement of Global Offensive. If you have already used CS, it will update automatically - no special actions are required. Owners of unique weapon skins will keep their collections, you can log in through your old account, but the ranks have been replaced by the premier mode, so you'll have to earn a place in the leaderboards from the lowest rung. Beginners start with the tutorial mode against bots, and then get to familiar locations.

Among the main features of the second part we should mention more beautiful graphics and dynamic smoke: it disperses from grenades and shots, seeps through broken windows and doors, and also realistically interacts with light. In addition, shooting and character movement speed no longer depend on the frequency of server updates - the Source 2 engine has eliminated this problem, making the controls more responsive. Finally, all effects from fire to bloodstains on walls have been finalized. After testing by a select group of gamers, CS2 is ready to welcome everyone.
