At the annual BlizzCon event, Blizzard Entertainment employees made several important announcements. One of the key reveals was the presentation of a new WoW, which will not be an expansion but a standalone MMORPG. The action will unfold in the familiar universe of Azeroth, but with some changes, including an additional race, improved graphics, previously unseen territories, activities, and modes. The release of the game World of Warcraft: Forever is scheduled for November 6, 2026, and it will also be included in the subscription, meaning that existing subscribers will get access to Forever as a bonus

What is known about World of Warcraft: Forever so far?

The beta test of the new game will launch as early as September 17. The essence of the project is that it should convey those very same feelings from WoW that fans experienced in the first year of this MMORPG's existence. The maximum level for heroes will be set at 60. A race of "Skyborne" elves is promised, along with a thousand quests and reworked old locations. Raids for 10 and 20 participants are announced, nine dungeons, the "Senep Islands" battleground, and numerous rewards for activities. Add to this fresh character abilities, enemies from classic versions, and content designed to diversify adventures. In short, there will be plenty to do for both experienced fans and newcomers who decide to try the genre's classic.

Access to the base game will require just a subscription, but the expanded set will be available for an additional fee. This refers to the Skyborne Heroic Pack and Epic Pack versions: they contain mounts, resources, modules for virtual housing, and codes for inviting friends who don't have any subscription. Additionally, the heroic and epic packs allow you to reserve your account name in advance.
