The creators of Albion Online will change seasonal challenges

Sandbox Interactive staff have issued a statement sharing their plans for the near-term development of their MMORPG Albion Online. Among other things, they promised to bring back the Arena for duels and to revise the rules of seasonal gameplay — guild activities and challenges will soon be merged into a single structure. In addition, rewards for all types of tasks will be increased, and gamers will be given a choice of prizes — so that people can decide for themselves which items or buffs are more useful to them at the moment.

What will change in Albion Online before the end of autumn?

All planned changes were suggested by regular users, whose feedback the developers collect and analyze. Following this principle, Sandbox Interactive has already increased the number of portals to the Ancient Lands and introduced an item freeze mechanic to prevent their loss in battle. This process will continue — and duel Arenas will return to Albion, where heroes can fight only in pairs. Gamers will get a chance to put together builds for their characters specifically designed for PvP duels.

In addition, regular seasonal activities will be merged with guild competitions. Participation in guild events will no longer be mandatory — people will be able to choose for themselves what to do in order to accumulate progress and receive rewards. Moreover, this will create room for giving each season its own identity, since missions can be added and removed, updating their set each time. As for rewards, users will be allowed to set their goals in advance — and receive exactly the items they need most.
