Arena Breakout: Infinite now with anomalies

The developers of the extraction shooter from Morefun studio have presented an unusual update for their game. The thing is, supernatural objects will be added to the map for the first time — like anomalies from the «Stalker» universe. The Arena Breakout: Infinite update will be tied to the start of the fifth season, which launches on April 2nd under the name «Distortion». The changes are truly radical: besides the new location, challenging trials will be added, including boss battles, balance adjustments, a collection of «red» items, and login rewards.

What to expect from the «Distortion» season in Arena Breakout: Infinite?

After releasing a very high-quality clone of the Russian game Escape from Tarkov, the Chinese developers eventually faced an expected crisis of ideas. And they decided to turn to the genre's roots that had inspired the creators of «Tarkov» themselves. Thus came the idea of adding anomalies with mutants to the realistic shooter. Everyone who ventures into the «Twisted Valley» map will have to face these dangers, where the scenery forms a maze with traps. Take a wrong turn — and you'll find yourself in a zone of altered gravity or become lunch for creatures nesting in a secluded corner. Reality distortions are dynamic: they appear in one place and disappear in another. In short, if you've listened to Sidorovich's advice at Cordon, you won't get lost.

Of the announced events, several are worth noting. Let's start with the «Warlord Tournament» — it will only be available on the «Television Center» map and will pit five teams against each other for loot and rating, with each player able to see their opponents' gear before the match begins. In the «Boss Gathering» on Farm and in Northridge, you'll be challenged not by one but several bosses at once with enhanced security, but the reward for defeating them is worth the effort. «Wastelands» is the game's first full-fledged PvE mode. You'll have to clear a whole series of locations of AI opponents, either alone or as part of a team.
