ARC Raiders has received its first major update
Embark studio specialists have prepared a patch for the sci-fi online game ARC Raiders, where the remnants of humanity fight for Earth against sentient machines. In this update, gamers will meet two dangerous bosses, get acquainted with the snow-covered map «Stella Montis», where the remains of space equipment rest, take part in a unifying event, and use pieces of gear added to the raiders’ arsenal. We’ll tell you how the extraction shooter has changed on the eve of winter, a title that quickly became a hit across all platforms.
What’s changed in ARC Raiders version 1.2.0?

The map-selection menu now features the long-awaited «Stella Montis», but Embark handled its unlock in a rather unusual way. The developers asked players to invest resources, presenting access to this area as a joint project to repair the tunnels leading into the mountains. The once-closed zone holds artifacts of the past—buildings and equipment used long before people fled into space and the robots attacked. In addition, raiders can now battle a pair of dangerous bosses—Matriarch and Shredder. The former is an enlarged and enhanced version of the Queen, who until recently was considered the game’s toughest foe.
The activity on the «Blue Gates» map involves collecting four keys in the back areas of the location and using them in the center to open a passage to an underground lab. Doing it all solo is almost impossible, so gamers must join forces to reach a common goal, but after breaking into the vault it’s every raider for themselves. New mines, grenades, and blueprint-assembled guns will help in fights against rival raiders. PvP fans will also be pleased to know that the hit-desync bug has been fixed; it used to cause characters to die even after they’d run for cover.
