With or on a shield: Apex Legends Season 13

An update for the multiplayer action game Apex Legends was released to coincide with the 13th season of the game. It was called "Saviors", or Saviors in English. Update opens access to the hero named Newcastle, the map "Storm Point", redesigned rating system and other innovations. Let's find out how much this "battle royale" will change by summer.

The "Storm Point" map, where legends are now invited to fight, is notable for the huge carcass of a dead monster in the square between the buildings. You can even enter the corpse of this Godzilla - the gateway is the open mouth. The buildings around are also interesting. Inside them you can compete for a valuable prize by pressing the button blocking the entrances and exits, and then fight off the cyborg guards. The fight lasts a minute, after which the player receives loot from the local arsenal. Another notable new addition to the game is Newcastle, a hero equipped with a shield.

Newcastle's main task on the battlefield is to protect his teammates. Covered by the shield, he can take the wounded from the dangerous place, creates a controlled force barrier, and using the skill "fortress wall" he build a secure shelter for himself and his allies. As for the new ranking system, it became more flexible: now it is easier to rise in the rank, as well as to lose achievements after a series of unsuccessful matches. This approach should encourage gamers to be more active. Of the features of "Saviors" it is also worth noting that the defense heroes (like Gibraltar and the same Newcastle) were made with the same vulnerable heads as the other legends.
