Sony held its own gaming event — State of Play 2026, where important announcements were made, DLCs for well-known products were shown, and even a LEGO set from which you can build a copy of the legendary first PlayStation. The multiplayer action game from independent studio Athena Game attracted particular interest from the audience — the new title is promised to be released not only on consoles but also for PC. Its page is already available on Steam. Let's tell you more about what is known about this premiere.

What makes CONQ: Crown of No Quarter interesting?

The dark fantasy action game combines features of several well-known games at once, including Dark Souls, For Honor, Conqueror's Blade and even Assassin's Creed Black Flag, as gamers will have to control ships and aim cannons at enemy vessels. The action takes place in an afterlife world like Valhalla from Norse mythology, where heroes are forced to constantly fight each other. Under the watch of the mysterious Unknown, you will have to take control of not only the commander but also his squads, and enter into battle with hordes of monsters and characters of other players. Combat actions are promised both on land and at sea, and there will also be support for cross-platform sessions, meaning PC users will be able to fight against console owners.

A choice of factions is also announced — players will be allowed to choose commanders and armies from different eras, as in Conqueror's Blade or For Honor. The exact release date has not been specified yet, although there's no point expecting a release earlier than 2027. The minimum system requirements on the Steam page include an SSD drive, 16 GB of RAM, and a graphics card at least at the level of GeForce GTX 3060. Also, fans of the genre should know that the announced action game, judging by its description, will be released with in-game purchase mechanics.
