Team Shooter Wardogs Announced

Studio Bulkhead has presented the online action game Wardogs with support for hundred-player matches and modes for three squads to participate in battle simultaneously. The developers specifically emphasize that this is not an extraction shooter or a «battle royale,» but rather entertainment for those who simply want to shoot and receive rewards for success. Various types of military equipment, a rich arsenal, and a map covering 256 square kilometers are promised. The project will launch in Steam Early Access in 2026, but there is no specific release date yet.

The shooter will feature a first-person view. Match participants are divided into teams (there can be three) and land on a huge map where they need to take control of a 2x2 kilometer area. The objective can be achieved both on foot and using various vehicles, including tanks, self-propelled artillery, helicopters, trucks, and even buggies. To win, one must first reach the marked zone, and second — capture and hold its key points to earn points for your squad. The first participant to accumulate 100 points wins the match and receives a prize. And then the most interesting part begins — thanks to the ability to accumulate earned funds to better equip characters for the next battle.

According to the developers, everything in the game, from ammunition and gun modifications to calling in armored vehicles on the battlefield, will have its own price. But users will also receive rewards for every action beneficial to the group — this applies to effective shooting, healing wounded comrades, and transporting allies in vehicles. In short, everyone will have a chance to stand out. Even construction enthusiasts won't be left out, as the shooter will offer not only the destruction of enemy fortifications but also the construction of their own.
