Announcement of a new shooter from the creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall
Former employees of Respawn have organized their own studio Wildlight Entertainment and attended The Game Awards ceremony. The official part of the event was concluded with the trailer of their online shooter Highguard. The game is an original blend of classic PvP matches and MOBA, where one team must traverse the map and destroy the other's base, using special hero abilities. The game already has an official page in the Steam store, and the release is scheduled for January 26 of next year. It is also known that the project will be free-to-play at launch.
What is known about Highguard at the moment?

Players will take on the role of Guardians fighting for control of a magical continent. Battles are organized on a raid principle: you assemble a squad, break through to the enemy base in PvE mode, and then enter into confrontation with a group of similar heroes. To storm the base, you need to unlock the Shieldbreaker and remove the force field with its help. The abundance of moves shown in the trailer attracts attention: characters ride and shoot atop animals, perform various attacks while jumping and flying, run on walls, use throwing weapons, and so on. At the same time, ordinary users note that the new game has little in common with Apex and Titanfall.
Despite the fact that very little time remains until release, developers are not posting demos or beta test invitations. However, system requirements have been published. To launch the team online shooter, you will need a PC with a ninth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 12 GB of RAM, at least 25 GB of space on an SSD drive, and an NVIDIA RTX 2080 graphics card — at least, this is the model recommended by Wildlight Entertainment.
