PUBG, move over: Activision makes a mobile Call of Duty

In recent years, smartphones and tablets running iOS and Android have become a full-fledged gaming platform - almost the same as the PC. Therefore, publishers of multiplayer projects are actively releasing their games on mobile devices. In particular, the fashion has embraced the "battle royale" genre. Already moved to the pocket format hits the level of Fortnite and PUBG - now the turn of Call of Duty: Warzone. If you believe the reports from Activision, things are looking up.

There's not much information yet, but Activision employees have made it clear that Warzone Battle Royale is in development. The game is predicted to AAA status - using all the features of the PC version, including long-term, in several years, support. Given the already released on mobile devices Call of Duty: Mobile, the authors of the new shooter will have to surpass the bar set. The project has already recruited specialists in game creation.

As stated on the official Activision website, to create the game we're invited people who are enthusiastic about programming, design and marketing. The new employees are recruited by the company's internal studios, such as Solid State, Beenox, Digital Legends and Demonware. Judging by the amount of effort involved, the project is really huge. But neither the announcement date, nor the approximate time of Call of Duty: Warzone mobile release have been announced by the publisher.
