The longest early access is coming to an end

7 Days to Die is finally out of Early Access after eleven years of being in Early Access. This status usually means that the project is still in development, but also allows you to write off some errors, referring to the terms of Early Access on Steam. For now, the developers from The Fun Pimps are preparing for testing, and have scheduled a final release for the summer. They immediately warned the public that the price of version 1.0 will be higher than the current one.

Testing of the final edition begins in May, and it is scheduled for release on PC in June. A little later there will be a version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. In fact, the project was already released for consoles in 2016, but then due to negative criticism and technical problems, its support had to be curtailed. Now everything will be different: the action movie with the subtitle Console Edition will first be tested in test mode, and then shipped to store shelves. At the same time, owners of old copies will have to pay extra for new ones, because, as the developers say, from the technical point of view, these are two different games. In addition, the old console version will be removed from the sale in the summer.

As for the PC release, The Fun Pimps promises to honor the promises made back in 2013 - during the fundraising on Kickstarter. A roadmap has been published. In the fourth quarter of this year, they promise to add a weather changing system, character clothing sets and cross-platform. In 2025th will appear a faction of bandits, a patch with interface edits, a system of events and quests of a new type. And later - a full-fledged story campaign. Until April 29, the action game can be purchased at a discount of 76%, in the digital store Steam it has already collected more than a hundred thousand positive reviews.
