Do not build sawmills, factories, and farms near homes, otherwise residents will be sad and your income will drop.

To start you need a plot of land that is fully suitable for construction. You need a stock of building materials and skilled workers. Four builders are enough to build an ordinary house, but you'll need at least 14 people to build a restaurant.
